Before carrying out our planned activities, we were given the chance to interact the students through a mass dance at 8am. It was a simple dance but was fun!

Next, our class conducted our 2 planned activities for a total of 80 Sec 4 students of mixed abilities. The 80 students were divided into 2 groups. The first group went through the activities from 8.30am to 10am. The second group went through the activities from 10.30 to 12.00pm.

Activity 1: Cones, hula hoops and recyclables

Activity 2: Wheel of Respect + Kick with Care
Although the activities were carried out as planned, we felt that the students could be a little more participative. The students needed additional support with the instructions given. We learnt that there was a need to be very patient and caring. It was not an easy task at all! Nonetheless, we feel that the students had some take-aways from our activities. They were able to name us the different types of recyclables and were able to appreciate different aspects of care for others.
Tanglin School was very kind. The Head of Department- Mrs Jennifer Hong treated us to Nasi Lemak. While eating, we were able to interact with some of the students.
It was a meaningful experience at Tanglin School!
