BINGO & SING-ALONG

We sang Chinese songs with them, served them tea and even played Bingo with them. This boosted our planning skills and confidence.

-Rhitu

We sang a few classics while they clapped to the beat. It was heartening to see them participate in the activity.

ARTS & CRAFT SESSION

Making coasters by dipping paper into turpentine mixed with colours and water

The papers were stuck onto small blocks of wood to form the coasters. The elderly were happy to bring home their useful masterpieces.

MAKING NEW FRIENDS

“There was a man clad in a tie with a smiley face pattern who promoted his youtube channel and taught some of my classmates his umbrella trick.”

“It exposed us to people whom we did not know but soon, we build a good rapport with them.“

It was an extremely enriching experience because we learnt from their experiences and gained inspiration from them. We now have developed into more compassionate leaders thanks to this unique opportunity.

-Rhitu

I realised that the elderly all have different personalities - some are reserved while some are bubbly. However, all of them had one thing in common - they all enjoyed company.
