For 1I, the CSI project has been very enriching and different. We have been newly introduced to the process of design thinking and it has been truly meaningful. We have learnt many new
skills through the process of design thinking. We have shared many experiences in our groups and as a class.
Our selected organisation is the Magdalene’s kindergarten and we are truly excited to be able to get an opportunity to work with them. We were introduced to this organisation through our classmate as she was a former student of the kindergarten. The kindergarten has 30% hearing impaired students and they are between the age of 5-6 years old. We are very glad to receive an opportunity to help others and the community as this helps us to engage with others in the society and develop our social skills, which is the main point of CSI.
Our experience as we went through CSI:
We were new to the school, new to the environment and new to the project. However, through this rigorous project of CSI, our class has bonded as one and we have shared many fun filled and unforgettable moments that we will forever keep etched in our hearts.
In conclusion, the CSI experience has been very enriching, fun, meaningful and one of a kind
opportunity that we are honoured and privileged to be a part of. We are indeed glad that we can help the community in one way. In this case, we are helping young kindergarten children.
We can relate it with our younger days and have a memorable experience with them. We will always look forward to these projects in the future.
