For our first trip down to PCF Macpherson, our team and I have had a pleasant encounter with the children and teachers where we have observed and interacted with the kids to better understand their needs as well as to improve our activities that are to be held on the actual CSI day itself.
We have planned several interesting games where the children are able to actively participate and learn hands-on about our cause -- to stop littering. Such games include balloon passing that requires teamwork, as well as reanacting scenarios of littering and getting the kids to show us what they have learnt. We believe through this interactive experience, the children can better understand our message that we would like to convey, and hopefully it will be a fun-filled experience for them to truly love and appreciate our environment.
By spreading the good message of keeping our environment clean, we hope to be able to impact and influence a new generation of children to have a caring heart and instil in them the right values and attitude towards our environment so that they can also continue to spread a healthy system of beliefs and actions.
For our project to be a success, it definitely requires the help from all our teammates. This is especially so for Xin-Hui, Jolin, Harini, Adhishini, Jennifer and Jamie, who have taken time off their busy schedules to put in the effort in arranging the necessary logistics needed, as well as going down more than once to familiarise ourselves with the location. Without them, the project would not be where it is now.
Furthermore, as the actual CSI approaches, our group has to collectively organise and work together for a rehearsal so that things can run as smoothly as possible on the actual day itself. This includes coming to school earlier and staying back after school to familiarise with the events that are about to take place. Therefore, I am thankful that my teammates have taken the initiative in showing their concern for this project and supporting each other in every step of this task, down to every last detail planned. I am proud to work with such teammates, and through this, to realise that the feeling of accomplishment is best when shared with friends. Last but not least, a special thank you to our form teacher Ms Poon for guiding us in our planning, and for taking the extra effort in ensuring that our proposals are up to standard.
As the CSI day approaches, I believe my team and I are filled with excitement and pride that we are able to showcase our own activities and bring across a strong message about the environment for the children. Let’s go 4Z!
