2 Phamily. What does that mean? Love. Warmth. Joy. We aspire to spread these to as many people as we can; anyone who crosses our path. Through this CSI project, we aim to bring as much love, warmth and joy to the people supported by Willing Hearts, a non-profitable organisation.

😄

For the level 2s, we were tasked to spread kindness to the community. After weeks of discussion, our class has finally decided to work with Willing Hearts, whose mission is to help to provide daily meals for the underprivileged, the needy, and other marginalized members in Singapore, and to assist and guide them towards rehabilitating and reinstating themselves as useful members of our society.

😄

We have divided our project milestones into different stages:

Empathize

In order to fully understand the needs of Willing Hearts, several representatives from 2P made a trip down to their factory to observe the surroundings and interview their director, Mr Tony Tay.

Define

Through the data collected from the interview and observations made at Willing Hearts our class found out that Willing Hearts needed more publicity to spread awareness of their mission. They also face a shortage of manpower so they face difficulties in completing tasks which relies largely on manpower.

Ideate

From our brainstorming sessions, our class came up with ideas such as a carnival where we could play games and sell merchandises related to Willing Hearts. After further exploring these ideas, we have decided to design and create badges for Willing Hearts to help them promote their organisation. On top of that, we would be going down on 25th May to help out in their kitchen to reduce their workload.

2P's planning process

Prototype

Representatives from 2P would be going down to Willing Hearts on 26th March to share our idea with Mr Tay. They would also be given a guided tour around the kitchen to further understand the place’s needs and the food preparation procedures and the processes in place. We would then change our idea accordingly after the visit, to better suit Willing Heart’s needs.

Test

The CSI project will be conducted on the 25th of May 2016; where the whole of 2P would visit Willing Hearts to help out at their kitchen and present our badges designs for the organisation to sell to raise funds.

😄

2P hopes that through our CSI project, we would be able to leave an impact on Willing Hearts. We also hope that through our actions, the public would learn more about Willing Hearts and start volunteering with the organisation to aid them with their manpower issues.
