Building Empathy

We believe that education on environmental conservation is necessary, as it guarantees a sustainable impact. Furthermore, having children as our target audience ensures that the future generation of Singapore truly cares about the environment. We thus plan to teach children environmentally-friendly habits which emphasize on how “Anti-littering”, though an easy task, has been failed to be incorporated by many in their daily lives. Moreover, we want to make them aware of the importance of protecting the environment, by teaching them the simple act of “Recycling”; which is both interesting, yet practical.

Activities

Here are the planned activities that will cater to the needs of educating young children:

  1. Icebreakers: To get to know the young children and let them have fun!

  2. “Responsible Roy” play: To promote the idea of anti-littering. The play will be interactive as the children will make decision when there are options, which will affect the ending of the play.

  3. Trash Classification Game: The children will have to classify different kinds of trash.

  4. Crafting: We will build a castle from recyclable materials

  5. Colouring: The pictures will relate to the environment theme.
