Our class is working with students of Tanglin School. Tanglin school is a school for students with mildly intellectual disabilities.
We will be organising fun hands-on activities and sports for secondary 3 and 4 students who require low to very high support to learn. Through the activities, we hope to share with the students about the importance to show respect for people and care for the environment through engaging.
A challenge for us to is set out very clear yet simple instructions that can be repeated more than once for the students to fully understand.
Working with students with mildly intellectual disability is something we have never done before. However, the class is ready to step out of our comfort zone and challenge ourselves to take on the task!

Building Empathy – Our progress so far
1Z’s Point of View:
Medium learning support students of Tanglin school need more to learn about caring for the environment and respecting others, because they learn better with greater support in the form of short, simple & clear instructions and immediate feedback from facilitators.

Ideas:
The class used more than 100 post-its during our brain-storming process to develop new solutions to the point of view! We will share with all our ideas in our next post :)
